She knew the market (what we were and were not likely to find if we waited, versus making a move sooner to get me settled before the snow flew) and she took the time to really get to know what my non-negotables were in a home, and how I planned to use the space. Doing so allowed her to help me choose the most livable unit for ME. What I have appreciated the most ever since is that Nicole was confident enough and willing to stick her neck out such that when we found what eventually came to be my beloved first home, she looked past all my anxieties and said very directly "I think you want THIS one!" Although I was skeptical at the time, she turned out to be right, and I learned a very valuable lesson about just how helpful a good agent can be when you don't know what you're doing. Recently it came time to sell my condo so I could buy a property closer to a new job, and again I called Nicole. For several reasons the transaction did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. The more complicated things got, the more I worried about the multiple relationships inherent in doing business in a small town; but despite the buyer's agent working in the same office as mine, Nicole did a great job advocating for my interests -- and, as has become our tradition by now, she talked me down off the ledges when I needed it! I'm a real estate developer in Los Angeles and I have really strict criteria and high expectations for the people I work with.
